1. Purpose & Commitment 

  1. - Bauer Energy Ltd recognises that its operations, including office-based activities and subcontracted EVCP installation works, have environmental impacts. 

 

We are committed to:  

  • Protecting the environment  

  • Preventing pollution  

  • Reducing environmental impact across our operations  

  • Continual improvement of our Environmental Management System  

 

This policy applies to: 

  • Office staff  

  • Remote workers  

  • Subcontractors working on behalf of Bauer Energy 

   

2. Scope of Environmental Impact 

  1. - Our key environmental impacts arise from: 

  • Energy use (office and remote working)  

  • Travel to installation sites  

  • Waste generated from EVCP installations  

  • Procurement of EV charging equipment and materials  

  • Use of subcontractors  

We recognise our responsibility to manage direct and indirect environmental impacts, including those from outsourced activities. 

  

3. Legal & Compliance Obligations 

3.1 - Bauer Energy Ltd commits to:  

  • Complying with all applicable environmental legislation and regulations  

  • Meeting relevant industry standards (including EVCP compliance requirements)  

  • Maintaining awareness of changes in environmental law  

  • Ensuring subcontractors also comply with environmental requirements 

4. Environmental Objectives 

4.1 - We aim to: 

  • Reduce energy consumption across office and remote operations  

  • Minimise waste and promote recycling  

  • Reduce paper usage through digital working  

  • Improve environmental performance of subcontractors  

  • Reduce carbon impact from travel and logistics  

Environmental objectives are reviewed annually and monitored through internal audits and management review. 

  

5. Operational Controls 

5.1 - Energy Management 

 

Employees will: 

  • Shut down laptops, screens, and equipment when not in use  

  • Turn off lighting in unoccupied areas  

  • Work efficiently in shared spaces to reduce energy use  

 

Management will: 

  • Use energy-efficient lighting and equipment  

  • Promote remote working where appropriate  

  • Maintain equipment for energy efficiency  

  • Monitor energy usage trends 

 

5.2 Waste Management  

 

Employees will: 

  • Use recycling facilities correctly  

  • Minimise waste generation  

  • Reuse materials where possible  

 

Management will: 

  • Apply the waste hierarchy (reduce, reuse, recycle)  

  • Ensure subcontractors remove and dispose of waste responsibly  

  • Use licensed waste carriers where applicable  

  • Encourage sustainable procurement 

 

5.3 Paper & Digital Working 

 

Employees will: 

  • Only print when necessary  

  • Use double-sided printing  

  • Use digital systems for documentation  

 

Management will: 

  • Promote paperless systems  

  • Use cloud-based document storage  

  • Encourage digital communication and reporting 

 

5.4 Travel & Carbon Reduction 

 

Bauer Energy will: 

  • Prioritise remote meetings (Teams, video calls)  

  • Minimise unnecessary travel  

  • Encourage use of public transport where practical  

  • Plan site visits efficiently 

 

5.5 Subcontractor Environmental Control  

 

Bauer Energy ensures subcontractors: 

  • Follow environmental best practices on site  

  • Dispose of waste responsibly  

  • Comply with environmental legislation  

  • Minimise environmental impact during installations  

 

Environmental performance is monitored through: 

  • Supplier approval process  

  • Ongoing performance reviews  

  • Site feedback 

  

6. Roles & Responsibilities 

6.1 - Senior Management: 

  • Provide leadership on environmental matters  

  • Integrate environmental considerations into business decisions  

  • Ensure resources are available  

  • Review environmental performance 

 

Employees: 

  • Follow this policy and related procedures  

  • Work in an environmentally responsible manner  

  • Identify opportunities for improvement 

 

Subcontractors: 

  •  Comply with Bauer Energy environmental requirements  

  • Manage waste and materials responsibly  

  • Avoid pollution and environmental damage 

  

7. Monitoring, Measurement & Improvement 

7.1 - Bauer Energy Ltd will: 

  • Monitor environmental performance (energy, waste, travel)  

  • Maintain a risk-based environmental approach  

  • Conduct internal audits  

  • Review performance annually  

  • Record and investigate environmental incidents 

  

8. Continual Improvement 

8.1 - We are committed to:
